Let’s meet at the WUK in Vienna!
Since my musical debut, I have worked with various groups in different roles as a percussionist, singer, dancer and composer. I have been living in Austria since 1983, where I founded my own group, Wayos Music Line, in 1989. This was followed in 2002 by the formation of Deep Energy.
I am a co-founder of the African Cultural Union AFCU and an active member of this intercultural group at Vienna’s WUK (Werkstätten- und Kulturhaus).
An insight into my many years of work
Performances and concerts
- Concerts in Brazil, the EU, Austria and, above all, at well-known Viennese venues such as Tunnel, Arena, Reigen, Flex and Down Under
- Performances, e.g. as part of the Zakynthos Summer Academy with Bob Curtis and Moses Afanyi
Children and young people
- Collaboration with JEUNESSE (Musical Youth of Austria), Triolino, ‘Journey to Africa’
- Collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Service to organise workshops in Austrian schools
Acting and choreography
- Performer in the ORF television play ‘Mississippi Blues’ and in the ORF pilot film Tschuschenpower
- Collaboration with the Vienna Volkstheater, Interkult Theater, Akademietheater and other organisations
Teaching for all
- Percussionist in Viennese dance studios, teaching Afro dance at the Vienna Adult Education Centre
- Drumming, singing and dancing – group lessons and individual lessons
